The Journey
Lightbulb Moment
That inspirational moment when you realise that now is the time and you are ready. SAS work closely with you to understand your motivations and desires. Our job is to help take what ignites you and convert this into reality. As the initial part of the journey, alongside workshopping and discussing ideas with you, we will produce early sketches of the project and produce a project brief. We will discuss timeframes, potential project costs, statutory requirements and explain how we envisage your journey to develop.
Design
Taking the initial sketches, we will start realising them into 2D and 3D designs. We will develop the design, making sure that all those inspirational moments that were captured at the very start of the project are maintained through into the developing design. We will start developing Architectural styles internally and externally, developing fixtures, selecting potential furnishings while constantly ensuring that all these elements meet your projects brief. Bringing your ideas together can be a complicated and daunting process, SAS Architecture has the expertise and knowledge to lead you through this process. We prompt you where needed and help untangle any complications that may arise along the way.
Documentation
The main part of the design journey, investigating down to the smallest of details, we will finalise your project's design and ultimately produce a clear set of documents for the building contractor. We will carefully consider all aspects of the project, from final landscape designs, to specifying materials, fixtures and fittings and resolve foreseeable complications before we take the project on site. Making sure that we mitigate as many unknowns at this stage helps controls overall project costs and reduces risks on site. We will make certain that the project is compliant to Australian Standards, engage with consultants were needed and finalise those key ideas that are critical to delivering the project.
Construction
The realisation of your project, the moment when those initial ideas are finally transformed into a beautiful piece of Architecture. There are three key stages to the construction process: selecting the Contractor; building works, and finally inspecting all built works and making sure they are constructed in line with the contract documents. Throughout the construction process SAS Architecture will work closely with both you and the Contractor, examining and instructing on site as works progress. We will manage your building contract, reviewing any potential claims or variations, monitor site works and most importantly ensure that we continue your vision through this final chapter of your journey.
